Self-Reflection

Self-reflection may be the most important aspect of  assessment because it is the most personal.  This space is reserved for the creator’s comments, observations, shortcomings, hardships, etc., which he or she encountered through both preparing the individual artifacts and collecting them on the e-portfolio.

Additionally, the creator should reflect on HOW the artifacts (ie. essays, recordings, presentations) helped him/her grow within the given language. Reflection is not a mode of grading but rather a method to assess growth.  You are able to be as creative or straight forward as you like.

You may want to reflect during diverse moments during e-portfolio project, or after receiving feedback from peers and instructors, for example.  The importance of this piece comes entirely from you and how you deem your transformation during this period.  It may also include aspirations for the future!
